Prostate Cancer Foundation
Currently, more than
100 clinical trials for advanced
prostate cancer are ongoing in Prostate Cancer Foundation funded institutions, benefiting thousands of men
with prostate cancer.
In other medical studies, researchers have made
progress in identifying the genetic mechanisms that determine why the disease is so often
diagnosed within families.
Prostate cancer is now the most frequently
diagnosed cancer in America. But while the disease now affects one out of every
six American men, investment in research to find a cure lags far behind other diseases.
Prostate Cancer Foundation aims to broaden public awareness and knowledge of prostate cancer and increase
private and federal support for research.
In keeping with Prostate Cancer Foundation's focus on research,100
percent of all funds raised go directly to research. The organization's administrative
expenses are entirely under-written by the Foundations of the Milken Families.
Searching for a cure while getting help to those
who need it is what Prostate Cancer Foundation is all about.
