Founded in 1949 by the KIBBUTZ ARTZI Federation of Kibbutzs in memory of HAVIVA REIK, Givat Haviva is a national education center. It is located in the Northern Sharon Valley (East of Hadera).

Our mission today is to cope with the major issues that are on the national agenda and that surround the social life in the State of Israel. These include advancing Arab-Jewish relations within Israel and among our neighboring Arab countries. We deal also with the polarity that exists between religious and secular Jews in the country, teaching the heritage of the Holocaust and its effect on today's society, contemplating the ideology and future of the Kibbutz Movement, aiding in the absorption of new immigrants.

We handle all these issues striving to maintain the principles of democracy, compromise and dialogue, which are a precondition to resisting the patterns of hatred, intolerance, and fear that have permeated our society. And therefore, we accentuate these ideals in our work in all of our centers and believe that education continues to be the most important contribution Givat Haviva can make towards the political peace process.

Over 50,000 children, youth and adults from Israel and abroad come to Givat Haviva each year to participate in its seminars, workshops, courses, conferences and formal and informal educational programs in a range of academic and professional fields.

On-site facilities include a dinning room, two air conditioned auditoriums for conferences and events, a club for hosting VIP's, 22 classrooms, a computer lab, language lab, research library, seminar room and spacious, air conditioned meting rooms. There are 112 dormitory rooms on campus (approximately 450 beds), swimming pool, sports field and spacious lawns.
