Architect of the Capitol is responsible for the Capitol building and grounds. Not since
1814 has the building burned to ground. |

Budget Office- The Congressional Budget Office provide the Congress with economic
and budgetary information. |

Accounting Office- The General Accounting Office is the investigative arm of
Congress. Charged with examining matters relating to the receipt and disbursement of
public funds, GAO performs audits and evaluations of Government programs and activities. |

Printing Office- The Government Printing Office (GPO) prints, binds, and
distributes the publications of the Congress as well as the executive departments and
establishments of the Federal Government. |

The Office of Technology Assessement (OTA) was closed by Congress in September of 1995.
After 23 years, Congress figured they no longer required any non-partisan advice on
