About Termite Treatments

What is a termicide? - It is a type of chemical used for the control of termites. Each is extensivley tested for effectiveness by the US Forest Service and registered by the Enviormental Protection Agency (EPA).

Will there be an odor? - There might be a slight odor from the treatment but it should only last for a short period of time.

What is a baiting system? -  Stattions are placed around the extirior of the structure at maximum intervals of 20 feet, unless construction surfaces such as patios make wider placement necessary. Stations may be placed in the crawl space if extirior ground access around the structure is limited. Non-baited stations are visually inspected approximately every 30 to 90 days for evidence of termite activity. When termite activity is discovered in the interceptors, bait is placed in the center cavity of the station in contact with the interceptions, with care being taken not to disturb the intercptors.
